A little about me…

I grew up in Perth and, as a young adult, earned an undergraduate degree in science, from Murdoch University, specifically in Biotechnology and Biology. After this, I moved to Victoria to further my studies, where I earned a Postgraduate Diploma in Dairy Science. I then worked as a research scientist and project manager within research and development in the food industry.

I left this work to enter self-employment with my husband when we chose to live on the glorious Southern Mornington Peninsula to raise our family. We enjoyed our two beautiful daughters and the process of nurturing them as they grow into lovely, successful young adults. We still live here in Rye, running our businesses, looking after a menagerie of rescued pets and continue to enjoy all that the Peninsula has to offer. As a family we believe in contributing to the community and have done so by volunteering in local sports, animal rescue and environmental conservation.

About me 2

Along the way ...

Having a curious persona, I have always asked questions… About who I am, why things happen, how the medical system functions, about my children’s growth and education. Questions about nutrition- especially relating to health and stress, about lifestyle, community and relationships.

I continued to play and coach basketball at a high level, also spending a lot of time at the beach, diving, snorkelling, kayaking, and paddle boarding. As a family, we also travelled a lot.

As I worked in our family business, looked after our home and family, spent a lot of time at basketball, and later volunteering with Peninsula Cat Rescue, I tried to maintain a balance of health, work and lifestyle. This was often fraught with pressures. I looked after my energy and life’s stresses with meditation and establishing a great support network, while wondering- what else?

Since I was a young adult I suffered a chronic recurring illness, that frustrated me and affected my overall health. During all of this I suffered physical injury that caused ongoing, mobility-affected, pain. It took more than 6 months to get a proper diagnosis and treatment. This took a toll on my mental health as well as my ongoing health issues. It just seemed like one thing after another. This was a hard reality for someone who was an athlete and took pride in looking after her health. I often felt unsatisfied with the answers I was getting from the mainstream medical system.

Until... I entered the world of Kinesiology.

My journey into Kinesiology began with Applied Kinesiology with my chiropractor. It intrigued me. I then found an Energetic Kinesiologist who gave me answers and, along with my wonderful naturopath, helped me work through some of my health issues. My ultimate healing came when I decided to study PKP Kinesiology and I have spent the past 8 years working on myself and having others work on me. I no longer have symptoms, and I am able to identify and deal with issues as they come up.

I now feel a sense of freedom and empowerment at having taken back control of my health and my life.

Since going back to study, I have been consistently learning. I enjoy researching different subject areas that intrigue me, whilst  studying to increase my skills. This allows me to better help my clients. Having a research science background has given me a good foundation for working with my clients, with the understanding that the need for conventional medicine still exists, whilst realising that our healing comes with personal responsibility.

I feel privileged to be able to assist individuals in managing their health and well-being, empowering them to take responsibility for their lives and finding the answers they are seeking.

“The overuse of prescription drugs provides a vacation from personal responsibility.”
